Pontoon Brewing goes to the dogs for Pug-O-Ween fundraiser

Pug-O-Ween will be held on Oct. 18 at Pontoon Brewing in Sandy Springs. (Provided by Georgia Peach Pug Rescue) Dog owners can hook a leash on their furry loved ones and bring them to Pug-O-Ween, a local fundraiser on Oct. 18 at Pontoon Brewing in Sandy Springs that benefits Georgia Peach Pug Rescue. Owners and dog lovers can help celebrate and raise funds to assist the organization with saving pugs and pug mixed breeds to find them forever homes on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 12 to 5 p.m. Pontoon Brewing is located at 8601 Dunwoody Place – Suite 500, in Sandy Springs.  Pug-O-Ween will have creepy costume contests, a barking boneyard, cryptic crystal balls, tricks, treats, and more, all to raise funds, according to a news release. The favorite furry friend of celebrities such as Billy Joel, Jessica Alba, and Duff McKagan, will be celebrated with temporary pug tattoos, photo props and opportunities. Attendees can shop for treats for pugs and people. The fun comes with kids’ activities like a bounce house, adopt a rescue stuffie, and “pin-the-tail-on-the-pug” games. The release said that kids and adults can make a pug craft keepsake and shop at the art market. Pugs will take center stage in pug races by the loaf of bread-shaped dogs. The top dogs will be crowned the pugs’ king and queen.  Georgia Peach Pug Rescue welcomes all dogs and their owners to Pug-O-Ween, not just pugs.
