(File photo courtesy San Diego Police Department) A 37-year-old woman was found dead inside her apartment in the Rolando area, authorities said Wednesday. Officers responded at around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday to a call from a man who reported that his wife had fallen to the ground and was not breathing at the Dalton Apartments at 4333 College Ave., according to the San Diego Police Department. College Avenue Police said they found the man performing CPR on his wife, but she did not survive. Her name was not immediately released. During an examination, some “unexplained” injuries were found by police on the victim, which prompted an investigation from the SDPD’s Homicide Unit, police said. Homicide investigators have taken over the investigation due to what they described as a “suspicious death.” The husband, who has not yet been identified, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said. Authorities asked anyone with information to call the Homicide Unit at (619) 531-2293 or San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
