The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday identified the first of five people killed in a fiery three-car collision in Poway Friday. Roberto Martinez Oros, 68, was behind the wheel of a sedan on SR-67 when a truck collided with his vehicle. Sheriff’s investigators said the pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic at a high rate of speed, hitting the Ramona resident’s Honda Civic before another truck crashed into him from behind. Oros died at the scene. The office has yet to release the names of the other four people who were killed Friday. In the first of the other deaths, Maxwell F. Rouette, 27, was discovered early Sunday lying along a pedestrian path on Buena Creek Road in Vista. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Rouette’s residence is unknown; he is believed to have been struck by a car. Shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday, a vehicle overturned on state Route 78 near North Las Posas Road in San Marcos and came to rest on a roadside embankment, the office said. A passenger in the car, Caden Chaz Garcia, 19, of San Marcos, died at the scene. At about 11:45 p.m. on July 15, San Diego resident Carlos Torres Castillo, 21, lost control of the car he was driving on westbound Interstate 8 east of Taylor Street, sending it crashing over the center divider and onto the eastbound lanes of the freeway.
