Patriots elevate two players, including 2025 draft pick

Another Patriots rookie is set to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Dolphins. The Patriots elevated rookie cornerback Kobee Minor from the practice squad and onto the active roster. They also elevated linebacker/special teamer Mark Robinson for the second straight week. Minor’s primary role could come on special teams, where the Patriots are still trying to identify a gunner to play opposite Brenden Schooler on the punt team. Minor, 23, joins Carlton Davis III, Alex Austin, Marcus Jones and Charles Woods among Patriots available cornerbacks. Outside of Robinson, the Patriots have Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss, Jack Gibbens and Marte Mapu to play linebacker. Minor was selected in the seventh round out of Memphis. Robinson, 26, previosly played for the Steelers. The Patriots still have an open spot on their 53-man roster after cutting cornerback DJ James.
