Gonzalez had been sidelined by the hamstring injury he suffered during a training camp practice on July 28. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said before Wednesday’s practice he expected Gonzalez to “do some things,” indicating the 23-year-old will be limited in his return. It is unclear if Gonzalez will play in Sunday’s home game against Pittsburgh. He did not comment Wednesday when asked about the possibility in the locker room, saying he was only focused on practice. Patriots outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson was the only player absent Wednesday, while defensive lineman Keion White sat out his fourth straight practice but watched from the sideline in street clothes. White was out all of last week with an illness. He and Gonzalez were the only players ruled out before the team flew to Miami. The Patriots will release their first injury report of the week Wednesday evening.
