East Harlem leaders want MTA to repurpose train station abandoned in 1800s
Commuter railroad trains used to run through East Harlem in a trench. The incoming Second Avenue subway extension has some East Harlem officials calling for the MTA to build a clean connection to the neighborhood's Metro-North stop.
