Deputies search for missing man with dementia in El Cajon

(Photo courtesy of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office) The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office asked the public Saturday for help finding a 78-year-old man with dementia missing from El Cajon. Dawoud Ajaj was last seen at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Peach Avenue, according to sheriff’s officials. Ajaj is of Middle Eastern decent. He’s 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 165 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black shorts, sheriff’s officials said. Anyone who has seen the missing man is asked to call 858-868-3200.
