At 1:38 p.m., units from the Oceanside, Carlsbad and Vista Fire Departments responded to reports of a vegetation fire at 3410 Marron Road, adjacent to the busy highway corridor. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered three separate ignition points, prompting a coordinated attack to prevent the blaze from spreading. Crews successfully contained the fire to two acres before it could threaten nearby structures, officials said. The Oceanside Police Department announced that one suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the fire.
